Milestones in the Growth of Fitter First:
1985, January - Pro Fitter, the company's first product, is built by Louis Stack and his brother Paul in the basement of a rented flat in Calgary, AB. A company is born.
1985, April - Louis presents the first Pro Fitter to a host of current and past World Cup downhill racers in Lake Louise during the inaugural "Toshiba - Breath of life" fund-raiser, hosted by Ken Read. Louis' first two customers are Canadian Ski Greats Todd Brooker and Nancy Green.
1987 - Fitter International Inc. becomes the official product supplier to four Canadian National Ski Teams including: Alpine Men's, Women's Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined.
1988, February - The Winter Olympics come to Calgary and Pro Fitter is in every official training room. Elite athletes from over twenty countries try Pro Fitter with strong acceptance.
1988, Summer - Dealer requests from many countries in Europe and Asia are processed thanks to Fitter Internationals Inc.'s Olympic exposure. Product distribution expands worldwide.
1989, Fall - USA Freestyle Ski Team uses Pro Fitters for fall conditioning program in Lake Placid, NY.
1989 - San Francisco 49ers Trainer Jerry Attaway endorses the Pro Fitter, calling it "superior to all other lateral cross-trainers."
1990 - Fitter International Inc. focuses its marketing effort on the Physical therapy and athletic training industry. Our rehab philosophy promotes the concept of "closed chain rehabilitation" in athletic training, the focus of which is on improved performance while reducing the risk of injury.
1992, June - Hockey Canada requests supply of Pro Fitters for summer Training camps.
1994, July - Canadian National Freestyle Ski Team uses Pro Fitter for summer conditioning camps in Government Camp, Bend Oregon.
1994 - More innovation. Louis Stack is granted a USA patent on his Tri-Level Wobble Board design. With patent in place, Fitter launches low-cost wobble board for home and clinical use. Fitter International Inc. continues to expand into new functional product lines.
1995 - Wobble Board Product line is extended to include the Wobble Board Kit.
1997 - Fitter publishes its first four-color, multi-product catalogue.
1999 - Fitter acquires patent and trade name rights to Bongo Board.
2000 - Fitter introduces the portable Versa Fitter 3-D cross Trainer.
2000, November - Fitter is commissioned to supply and manage the Functional Training Center at the Men's and Women's World Cup Downhill races at Lake Louise, Canada.
2001 - Fitter distributes 250,000 catalogues worldwide, annually showcasing more than 60-plus products, including the new Board Rock indoor balance board.
2001, October - Fitter rebrands itself as Fitterfirst and launches a new website to reflect the new logo and operating name.
2002, January - Fitterfirst moves into a brand-new 14,000 square foot facility with a bright, sunny showroom.
