With the single strap fully open, insert your foot while gradually aligning each toe with the appropriate toe pocket - it’s often best to start with your big toe and work down to the little toe, gradually inching forward as each toe finds its place. Check to make sure one toe is in each pocket.
AFTER each toe is in place, pull up the heel cup and nestle your own heel into the FiveFingers heel cup. It’s important to get your heel firmly seated in the heel cup.
Pull the single strap closure across your instep and secure. Make sure the strap lies flat as it wraps around the foot. Wiggle your toes and adjust the strap to find your ideal FiveFingers comfort.

My story I am a physician (Podiatrist) and an avid runner. Eight years ago I was plagued by a foot injury know as sesamoiditis to my right great toe. The condition progressed to the point where my sesamoid bones in my great toe fractured. I continued to run and was able to complete several marathons but i lived with pain daily to my great toe. While working at a health expo for a local marathon i decided to wear a pair of vibram five fingers with my suit and tie to initiate conversation with the participants at our booth. It changed my life. I began running in them and have been pain free for 8 months now both during running and throughout the day. Thank you. I love running again.

Best seat in the house! Going from the muddy shore to my kayak, my Vibrams held up perfectly and were just what I needed to keep up with my then-girlfriend/now-wife. Whether a 2-mile paddle or a 15K on city roads, these are -by far- my favorite footwear!! My veebs (as I like to call them) have no trouble keeping the grit out and have never given me blisters. These KSO's fit perfectly and are amazingly lightweight.

600+ training running miles on my first pair of VFF KSO's led me to my first marathon. These shoes were the single best purchase I have made in my running career. The rubber was getting thin but how could I switch to a new pair after all we had been through....I was wearing them regardless. Marathon day arrives and the grand plan (hope)was to break through the sole somewhere during the last 3 miles. Accomplished. At mile 24.5 I could just start to feel the pavement which lead to the retirement of my first pair of VFF's after my first marathon. Glove-like fit, environmental feel and allowing the foot to work as mother nature has designed it to is priceless. Running has never been so enjoyable. I love these shoes!

It took 3 years of attempting to train for a marathon and getting hurt for me to realize it was the shoes! This last time I trained from start to finish in my HOTT Pink FiveFinger Bikila's! No knee problems. No hip problems. I love the connection to the ground and the feeling of strength my body gains from wearing these amazing "shoes". Race day was a breeze and me and my Bikila's caught everyone's eye as we burned across that finish line!

I decided to try Five Fingers in the Soto40 Chilean Nationals last week. I really regret I haven't known Five Fingers earlier! They are great! Awesome grip, sensibility and comfort, particularly in the warm weather, when the bulky regular sailing shoes heat up a lot. We won the regatta in the last race, and I am sure that Five Fingers helped me to perform at my best. Congratulations for this great product!
John Skelton Europe - February 06, 2011
I traveled through England, France, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Italy, Germany and Greece wearing a pair of Vibram Five Fingers. I saw and felt Europe in a whole new way. I noticed manhole and utility covers I had not noticed in any prior trip. Starting in the Tate Modern Museum in London I appreciated the symmetry and design of European urinals. I felt the varied surfaces I walked on in a new way. Walking on cobblestones had never been such a sensory experience. Trekking in the Alps had never been better. The textures and the heat of the marble surfaces in Greece radiated through my soles. Students I traveled with found them intriguing. Strangers were friendly and inquisitive. The trip culminated in a shop in Greece where the clerk exclaimed, “Those are weird! I like weird! Where can I get some?” I am planning another trip this summer with another group and a new pair of Vibram Five Fingers. I look forward to new discoveries. I hurt my knee about 8 months ago and have not been able to walk over 1.5 miles since (even on a treadmill). This hindered my performance in many of my hobbies; the two main ones being cardio and geocaching. I first received a pair of KSOs for my birthday from my girlfriend. I tried them out at the gym more than anything. About a month went by and I began to notice that my knee no longer hurt when I would get off the treadmill. The only variable that had changed in my activity was the shoes. On January 21-22 2011 I arrived at Jonathan Dickinson State Park for a geocaching event. With my KSOs on I went out with a group of my friends and began the walk. After 27 miles in two days we called it quits. Low and behold my knee held out the entire time, no pain whatsoever, and the next day I was back at the gym.

After a multitude of countries visited and a bunch of crazy activities performed in Vibrams, I ended a 2 month world trip by bungee jumping for the first time over Queenstown, New Zealand where bungee was first invented. Having spent 2 months in extreme climates, over extreme terrain, doing extreme activities, my feet have gotten ridiculously strong and flexible thanks to the EXTREMEly awesome design of the Vibram Five Fingers! Thanks for a fun ride!

Two friends and I, accompanied with our new Vibram FiveFingers, drove to down to Giles County in Southwest Virginia to hike the Cascade Fall's trail in the Jefferson National Forest. The 69 foot falls were crashing against my back as I jumped into the water. Luckily, the excellent grip of the FiveFingers aided in my successful escape. Already tested and approved for running and biking we plan on trying our new favorite shoes for kayaking and rock climbing too. Simulating being barefoot really makes the world around you feel like home no matter where you are. We love our Vibram FiveFingers!

Being able to manipulate the wind is the most important factor in tunnel training. With my FiveFingers Sprint on, I have the same sensitivity in my feet as I do in my hands. Plus the way they strap onto my feet, I’m 100% confident that they won’t fly away without me attached. I love these shoes and wear them wherever I go: earth, water, and now the air!

Less Shoe. More You. For the first time, active outdoor athletes are able to experience the freedom and joy of going barefoot with the protection and sure-footed grip of a Vibram sole. The response has exceeded our wildest expectations. Some customers told us they felt more connected to the earth and more in tune with their bodies. Others discovered an increased sense of balance and greater agility. And many reported health benefits like improved posture and less back pain. All were generous with their praise and their ideas, often suggesting new and creative uses for FiveFingers. Now you can choose from a variety of designs to cover the wide range of activities you would rather do barefoot; everything from yoga and Pilates to running and trekking to kayaking and sailing. Clearly, the barefooting revolution is alive and well.
Bikila Tread design offers more traction over a variety of surfaces.
